The Kentucky Wrestling Officials Association was founded in 2009 by a dedicated group of officials in an attempt to organize officials in the state of Kentucky. The Primary goal is to serve as an education tool for new and veteran officials alike, as well as to improve consistency of officiating across the state. Assist all wrestling officials in the state of Kentucky in the development and thorough understanding of the rules and mechanics of good officiating.
Upgrade the officiating in the state of Kentucky by standardizing consistency of calls in all areas of the state. Promote and secure cooperation and understanding among the scholastic and collegiate coaches, atheletes, school officials, and the press. Foster the highest standards of ethics, and further the interests of all good educational philosophy, aimobjectives through a proper spirit of sportsmanship and a spirit of fair play through the medium of wrestling. Cooperate and assist the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and local wrestling associations in whatever area they should ask the association to aid. Recognize members for outstanding careers and achievements through election into the Kentucky Wrestling Officials Association Hall of Fame.
